Acts of God - you know: Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, avalanches...natural disasters out of our control. Funny how we call them 'Acts of God', as if God were out to destroy things.
Why don't we call them 'Acts of the Devil?'
And wonders such as
childbirth,
water-colour sunsets,
coral reefs,
blossoming roses
- what do we call these? 'Miracles', at best, attributable to any deity*.
Seems like we're forever after someone to blame - and if no one else, God fits the bill. Yet if we lived our lives on the lookout for someone to praise, we'd find He fits the bill a whole lot better....
